I was totally surprised at how effectively scary this movie was. It’s a pretty great haunted house movie.
I’m usually pretty skeptical when it comes to found footage films, just because I believe there’s so much room for them to go wrong. One of my pet peeves is the acting in these flicks. For the most part, the acting in this one felt natural but my god, there’s one awful scene. It’s not even a spoiler but this one guy flips out and must have said variations of “fuck” about 200 times spanning like 10 minutes. It’s a truly awful scene in an otherwise good horror film.
That one scene doesn’t at all ruin the movie thankfully. If you’re into found footage and haunted house type stuff, definitely check this out.

Year of Horror 
This sounds like a movie I would really enjoy. Although I almost thought it was a reworking of the Roddy McDowell classic Hell House. I will definitely check this out.
