(2008) Pontypool

This was such a breath of fresh ass. What a fantastic, original script from Tony Burgess. This was undoubtedly one of the most engaging films I’ve seen in a while.

Beyond the on screen tension, there’s this constant, unrelenting force of strangeness that’s almost anxiety inducing. Fantastic, believable performances all around. Stephan McHattie and Lisa Houle were just great.

I love films that take place all in one room, they tend to usually have much stronger central ideas, rather than relying heavily of effects and shit.

Anyways, that’s all I can say about this one without giving too much away. I don’t think a film like this will be universally praised just because it’s so out there but it hit my personal g-spot.
