(1932) Freaks

This film was oddly charming. It was obviously filmed with the intent to make people uncomfortable. In that sense, I mean…it succeeded. It’s definitely a little fucked up, especially the 3 second shot in the final scene. For the 1930’s, that 3-second shot was definitely an “oh my holy fuck” moment.

I dug this though, absolutely bizarre and would recommend to anyone looking to experience 1930’s horror.

  1. I love Freaks! It didn’t quite make it into the classic horror pantheon alongside Dracula and Frankenstein (I think it deserves to!), but I’m glad it’s still getting re-discovered and re-evaluated.
